Digital Cinema for Operators: Advanced

Seminar targets:
This advanced course is specifically designed for cinema technicians with professional experience and attendees of the “Digital Cinema for Technicians: Basics and Installation” seminar. The course deepens the technical insight in the technologies and functionalities of the different devices and components of a 2D / 3D Digital Cinema System, especially of the DCP projector series. It sets a focus on understanding the operation software and on programming individual macros as well as on the integration of additional signal sources and ingest of alternative content. The knowledge about fault detection, troubleshooting and fault clarification via the Kinoton hotline is deepened. Finally different network applications and IT issues, including Theatre Management Software (TMS) and telemaintenance, are discussed in detail.

Please bring your own laptop:

• Laptop with Windows XP/Vista, with Ethernet and serial port, virus-free; USB stick
• Necessary software: Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office, current antivirus software

Course fee:
€ 245,- plus VAT, customers with a Kinoton maintenance agreement are allowed a 25% discount for their staff. The course fee includes printed training material as well as supper and beverages.
