Product Engineering

The product engineering department is one of the supporting pillars of our company. Our engineers deal for example with electronic control systems for the drives of our projection and film editing equipment and with constantly enhancing our automation and show control systems. Amongst others, the electronic drive concept of our E series film projectors which won an Academy Scientific and Engineering Award in our FP 30/38 EC II studio projectors has been developed by our adept engineers.

Design Department

The mechanical components of our products are designed at cutting-edge 3D CAD workstations. Besides, the design department provides detailed technical overviews as well as the documentation necessary for manufacturing such as lists of components parts and assembly drawings - the basis of precise and flawless production.

In-House Manufacturing

Our complete product range is assembled at our captive factory with a floor space of over 6,000 m² (65,000 sq. ft.) in the Bavarian town of Kaufbeuren. In autumn 2005, the production of our Litefast 360 Displays and varied OEM products started on additional 500 m² (5,400 sq. ft.) of production area. Highly qualified employees and state-of-the-art CNC machinery guarantee maximum production accuracy in the μ range. Skilled laborers in assembly and final inspection as well as extensive multi-stage quality controls assure top-quality products.

Technology Center

The Kinoton Technology Center is just a few hundred meters from our head office. Modern technical equipment and state-of-the-art presentation technology enable versatile use. The premises boast training facilities, a demo center and a testing site for D-Cinema, E-Cinema and digital 3D. Besides this, the Kinoton Technology Center contains a spacious showroom for Litefast 360° LED Displays.
